Actress Kathy Griffin Discovers "Hillbilly Ketchup" in Oklahoma.

Kathy Griffin, star of My Life On The D-List, sitcom veteran
(Seinfeld, Suddenly Susan), and long-time stand-up comic is bringing
her always-acerbic, prodding and offensive wit to the stage here in
Oklahoma in a series of three appearances. Thursday, January 20 in
Tulsa's Brady Theater, Friday, January 21 at the Civic Center Music
Hall in Oklahoma City and Saturday, January 22 at the WinStar World
Casino in Thackerville. Showtime is 8:00 P.M. for all performances.

During an interview last week with IonOK Magazine the 50-year old
comedian revealed:

"The most memorable thing about your wonderful state is the pizza with
ranch dressing. I did not know what that was and I was in a place
called The Hideaway. They brought me ranch dressing and I thought it
was a mistake and I said "Oh, I didn't get a salad, I ordered a pizza"
and then the server said to me, "Oh honey, we all put ranch on
everything here, it's hillbilly ketchup," and that's when I knew I was
home.

"I'm doing my own Oklahoma tour; three cities, I might just run for
office while I'm at it. On the platform I'll be getting more Americans
to have pizza with ranch dressing."

Kathy will perform at the Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City
this Friday at 8:00 P.M. and her full interview can be viewed in the
debut issue of IonOK Magazine which will be released on January 24 at

I don't think that's a "southern thing" - I think that might be a "mid-western" thing. (or maybe just OK? )

I've never seen anyone do that in FL!! Oh well ~ whatever makes your rock roll...

I've never seen anyone do it in the Midwest. (Is Oklahoma a Midwestern state? I didn't know that )

I've heard about it on other forums but never tried it (ranch on everything, and a dip for anything.) But then I'm not crazy about ranch.

It's a fun quote though.
