Kathy,

Does it count that I offered a free ticket to your concert on two separate occassions and both times Murphy turned me down? Clearly she thought I had at least a burned face. I am on the perpetual d-list because I offered a free concert ticket TWICE and was turned down TWICE. You can't pay it forward when the person thinks you are such a loser that they won't even accept a free ticket from you. I have to go burn my face now.

I agree! Kudos to Cookie for being so incredibly sweet to give up her ticket for Kathy's #1 fan (Murphy) AND also to Kathy for acknowledging Cookie's VERY kind gesture!

Well, the truth is... I do nice sh!t all the time for people, cuz I'm just a humanitarian at heart. :mrgreen:

(Actually I'm extremely paranoid, and figure I can use all the good karma I can get.)

So yesterday I went to the Verizon Wireless store to see if they could transfer my contact list from my old phone onto my new phone. (I got an "upgrade" last week, which by the way, sucks balls. And when they asked me how I liked my new phone, I said "It sucks balls," and all the other customers laughed at me. :oops:

But, I digress...)

This woman came into the store and asked how much their absolute bottom-of-the-line car charger costs, saying she was on a trip and had forgotten hers at home. They started at $25.00 and she balked. I asked her what kind of phone she had, knowing full well I had a charger in my car that was no longer being used. My older phone has been replaced by this newer piece of sh!t phone with every annoying feature possible, and the old chargers, like me, aren't compatible with the new phone. I looked at her phone and determined the charger I had could work, as the little slot in her phone looked just like the one in my old one. So we walked out to my car together, plugged her phone into my charger and VOILA!! It started to charge! So I let her take it with her on her trip! She's going to mail it back to me when she gets home.

I'm not TOTALLY selfless, though. She was so happy and surprised by my offer, she kept saying she felt like she should do something for me. I finally said, "Well, if you have any gorgeous single lesbian friends, please give them my number." She said she would!!!! :mrgreen:
